What We Stand For

Principles we practice, not slogans we print.

These eight statements shape how chapters run, how Missions are chosen and how girls treat one another.

01

We Build Confidence From Experience.

We give girls real experiences and support so they begin to know from evidence what they can do.

02

We Live in Potential.

We do not define ourselves only by who we are today. We stay curious about who we can become.

03

We Exceed Expectations.

Exceeding expectations does not mean being perfect. It means preparing well, following through, giving thoughtful effort, noticing what is needed, and being willing to stretch beyond what we already know we can do.

04

We Show Up.

If we say we will do something, we make every effort to do it. Other people should be able to depend on us.

05

We Take Responsibility.

We own our choices, our work, our mistakes and our commitments. When something goes wrong, we learn, repair and keep going.

06

We Lift One Another.

Another girl’s success does not diminish our own. We encourage, include and celebrate one another. We never need to make someone else smaller in order to become bigger ourselves.

07

We Use Our Voices — and Make Room for Other Voices.

We learn to speak, and we learn to listen. Both are forms of leadership.

08

We Do Things That Matter.

We do not only talk about becoming courageous, compassionate and capable women. We practice becoming them through meaningful work, service and participation in the world around us.

Grow. Lead. Serve. Become.
